Ever since the financial crisis in the U.S. happened, potential borrowers have been desperately trying to find better access to credit and at lower interest rates, in the meantime, retail investors have been seeking ways to grow their money more efficiently and receive higher returns on their investments. Banking institutions, who’ve been saddled with regulatory burdens, haven’t been able to fully meet the needs of either. Because of this gap in the market, much room was left open for the rapid growth of a new financial sector — peer-to-peer lending. Peer-to-peer lending platforms like Lending Club and Prosper Marketplace run online lending services that can quickly and automatically match borrowers seeking a loan to an investor willing to provide the funds for that loan at an attractive interest rate.         P2P Lending Market Numbers Infographic   Infographic credit to: www.LendingRobot.com   P2P Lending Growth Facts For 2015   The Peer-to-Peer lending industry is seeing significant growth, especially in developed countries with strong financial markets. P2P lenders in the US generated $6.6 billion in loans last year, up 128%. We’ve been trading cryptocurrency (alt coins such as Bitcoin, etc.) at Bleutrade for a few months now and figured it was time for a review of our experience(s).  We’ve also provided some tutorials on how to get started.   BLEUTRADE.COM REVIEW We first heard about Bleutrade earlier in 2014, but hadn’t gotten around to making an account and transferring in some cryptocurrency until May or June. We decided to check them out and start trading because their trading interface is quite a bit different than any other exchange out there.  (if you’re not quite sure what all of this “cryptocurrencies” stuff is all about – check out this good article over on Wikipedia) HOW IS BLEUTRADE DIFFERENT? This is not to say that the actual trading process is different – it’s not, but the fact that there are so many different “trading pairs” is what really got our attention. Many exchanges only allow for trading your favorite cryptocurrency for Bitcoin, and to a lesser extent the other exchanges will allow you to trade in Litecoin too, but only in limited markets.  Bittrex has recently opened some trading pairs with Blackcoin, but not many. HOW MANY TRADING PAIRS? Bleutrade on the …

CoinMe, a Seattle-based bitcoin startup, has created this infographic, explaining the past and future of Bitcoin, and also the use of the city’s first-ever Bitcoin ATM – CoinMe’s Kiosk. The Coinme Kiosk is the new solution for Seattle-area residents to buy and sell bitcoins. As the first Bitcoin Kiosk in the Northwest, and the first licensed kiosk in the U.S., Coinme is eager to introduce Bitcoin to the community through regular Meetups and free onsite consultations. The ATM is operated by Coinme but manufactured by Las Vegas-based Robocoin, which also built the world’s first Bitcoin ATM that was installed in Vancouver, Canada last October. The Kiosk is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and it scans your palm and allows you to exchange cash for Bitcoin, or do the reverse. Customers can make up to $3,000 worth of Bitcoin exchanges per day. Check the infographic below and tell us in the comments below what do you think about the new CoinMe’s Kiosk.

Since money was first invented many thousands of years ago, poverty has always been a social problem. Income inequality has always existed. A few select people have the majority of the wealth, while everyone else have a minority of the wealth available. The Industrial Revolution of the 19th century and the arrival of the internet at the end of the 20th century did nothing to change this reality. Many people remained poor, in spite of the revolutionary way in which standards of living changed for the blue collar day laborer. Precious minerals constituted a great part of this wealth. Among these were gold, silver, platinum, diamonds, rubies, emeralds, and sapphires. Each mineral has its own intrinsic value and thus its own unique price. Both governments and wealthy people recognize that precious minerals are a better way to secure long-term wealth than fiat currency, for fiat currency is subject to the whims of rulers. It may be inflated, or hyper-inflated. Its value is often determined by the decisions of those who own a nation’s printing press. This is not the case for cryptocurrency, however. Cryptocurrency is essentially digital money with no physical basis. It cannot be printed. It can be introduced all at …
